Hollywood Wax Museum is part of three attractions … that includes Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors and the Castle of Chaos. We started off in the Wax Museum … I didn’t know what to expect as I had never visited such an attraction but we really had a great time. We started off with a group shot in the hand of King Kong. I was surprised at how lifelike the statues really were, you could up close to look at the detail in the faces – their eyes, the eye lashes, the teeth all looked so real, it’s almost as if they would move at any moment! What was most enjoyable were that each figure was in it’s own vignette … for example … Elvis was in a café serving coffee to the likes of James Dean and Marilyn Monroe. Will Smith was in a classic “Men in Black” pose, Tom Hanks was sitting on a bench from a popular scene in Forrest Gumpp – what was cool was that you could sit in each setting and take a photo as if you were really with that person. Lots and lots of great photo opportunities for sure! I would suggest fixing your hair and wearing something cute as you will want to take lots of pictures! Of course, at the end of your tour you have the option to purchase items in the gift shop … along with your group photo which was too cute for us to resist getting!
The Castle of Chaos and Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors are just across the parking lot … and you’ll save money if you purchase all 3 attractions at the same time. We were intrigued byt the Mirror Maze --- suitable for all ages, you are ushered into a room to hear of your “mission” to save the Princess. We were given plastic gloves to keep from smudging up the mirrors when you bumped into them … Keep your hands in front of you at all times as YOU WILL bump into mirrors, ha ha. I’d never done something like this either and it really did trick with your mind …. So deceiving with so many mirrors. We made a point to stick together and eventually my 8yo daughter was “the chosen one” to find the princess and our way out. Very cute, the kids wanted to do it again!
